ss1886,

I am yet to see any official statistics about the % of rejection/success of the Interviews.
Interview is based on papers and information you have provided to them. They can ask anything during this interview and the officer will have every right to make positive/negative decision based on your interview. many are instantly said about their approvals/rejection after the interview and many are hung for months for the outcome. so in a nutshell, interview is all about what you are and what you can demonstrate.

Are there instances when people have been refused/rejected in the interview, if yes then approximate what percentage is rejected ??

Not sure about the percentage but ofcourse lots of them are rejected and accepted aswell. One thing you should be aware of is that interview is only conducted when they find some discrepancy in your application which is never good so what remains now is how you present yourself and the knowledge you documented on the application.. I was personally told on the spot that my application was approved by the visa officer, however I didn't had it in Pakistan and I think it's not a common practice in Pakistan because they verify documents again after interview according to information provided by you and if all turns okay then you are informed about the outcome..

Dear virtual friends,

Recently my status has changed “In Process” and I already received the notification letter for the Medicals and new Police Certificate.
Meanwhile I am living in a European country with the status of Permanent Residence. This month me and my family win the right to become citizen of the country where we live and we already begun the procedure.

Do you think that this change will arise any problem to my emigration visa to Canada.
Does the Canadian law accept dual citizenship???

Any idea please….

I have receieved the acknowledgement letter with the file number. When can I expect the interview call.. How will they do verification? Will it be physical or telephonic? Can anyone help me with these questions... what is the next step for me..

Jaipreet

Jaipreet,

add your timeline please.
have you been called for an Interview?
if not, dont worry about that at this stage.
Let the verification be done if any by CIC. it is not you headache.
just inform your boss/HR Department about a possible call from a verification agency.

First of all thanks for your reply. I have updated my owner & the leader about the verification. I have received a call that the application has been accepted by the Canadian Embassy in Canada & now the acknowledgement letter is awaited. I filed my papers around 20th March 2012 & received the file no. on 2nd April 2012. But till now the consultant (Travel Agency) have not received the acknowledgement letter. This is the current status of my application. Advise me the further steps..

Regards,
Jaipreet

this thread is for those who have received the request for an Interview or wanna know about it.

for you, I'd recommend you have a close tie with your consultant.
if they are reliable and renowned then I don't see any problem.
