Pregnent in bad situation PLEASE help

Hi all i have a situation dont know how to handle,,i have my first stage approvel from cic under H&C,,with my two kids as a single mom,,,waiting for second stage approvel,but now i m pregenent with my Commonlaw ,,we r living together from februry,,and he cant married me before next year as is divorsed case is under process,,i call my lawer he said is ok wait till baby born and then we gonna inform cic,,,,,,,,,my question is is it ok to wait that long with informing,,,,any body with same or similar situation please help

Your lawyer is correct, until the child is delivered CIC doesn't really care.

The baby will have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not they consider you to have a qualifying common-law relationship. You will need to be able to prove that you have lived together for at least one continuous year - and that your relationship is "genuine" and not just about immigrating to Canada.

Read through Sections 5.34-5.35 of the OP2 Processing Manual for information on how they assess common-law qualification.
