Dear Friends
I am one of the 2007 applicants and I have got the document update letter but I have not sent my application to LONDON office yet. My question now if my wife become pregnant and I am the main applicant will this delay all tha application processing? hold the medical and everything? I am worried as you know the old applicants have got already much delay and this will be another 9 months at least of delay.
Thanks in advance

It may delay her medical if she's pregnant, yes, if she can't have the X-rays. Still, there's nothing you can do about it.

Thanks Leon for reply, I understand that her medical will be delayed, but I am asking also about myself as the main applicant, is there a way that I can do the medical for me and my other children and submit them and go through the other steps of security check and visa stamp and my wife could do that later on, so I can start searching and applying for jobs...etc myself first?
Thanks

I don't think you can split up your family that way. Medical for all = PR for all. You could still start looking for jobs telling employers approximately when you are expecting your PR to come through. You might even be able to set up some interviews and go as a tourist to check out locations and talk to employers.

Sorry if this query is a bit unrelated but what are the chances of getting a tourist visa if you already have a PR application that is pending? Is there any risk that you are considered a prospective immigrant and your tourist visa is denied?

Your tourist visa can be denied if they don't believe you will return home but they also do accept dual intent. If a PR applicant explains he's coming over to prepare his move but will return to his home country after a short visit as he has a job there and family he needs to go back to, they would not have any reason to deny him a visit visa.
