my wife is pregnant for about two months and she is holding a student visa. I am holding a work permit by the way. She is not that strong and we don't think she can insist going to school after she is pregnant for more than 7 months. So that means she has to drop her courses after May 2018. But the delivery of the baby is supposed to be this October or November. That means from May to October, 5-month period, she will have no courses while she has a student visa. We are wondering how we can handle this. Can she stay here even she is not attending any courses for 5 months? Can she apply for Authorized Leave because of being pregnant? If she successfully applied for Authorized Leave, what will happen to her student visa? Is it automatically cancelled or is it still valid?And if applied for Authorized Leave, can she still stay in Canada or does she have to go back to our home country? Or does she have to change to visitor visa?
