Hello Seniors,

I have a question. This is a serious situation. What is the process involved in applying for PGWP if I am pregnant? my job field is working as a Child and Youth worker so I believe an immigration medical is required (which involves an X-ray, which is not advised if pregnant). the problem is...baby's due date is 3-4 weeks after expiration date of student visa. Considering I have to apply PGWP while student permit is still valid,....what are my options?

Should I submit application for PGWP anyways? Can being pregnant affect CIC decision in granting me a PGWP? Will I be required to submit a new application for PGWP that includes the baby?

I am seriously confused!

Thanks alot, JT

u should check with some immigaration consultant or lawyer , because we cannot say anything about it ... as we are not experts we only learn from each others experience and there is not even a single case related to ur situation... so u should consult a professional about it :)

In my opinion, for Student Visa medical is a must, and if you are pregnant, you cannot undergo the medical tests.

If yours had been a PR case or other than student visa case (since your semester is scheduled to start from some specific date and cannot be postponed) your medical could have been deferred.

If baby is born you have to include it in your application.

This is only my assumption, you can consult seniors also.

God Bless U.
