Hi all,
MY cousin got a PR and she got to knw that she is pregnant after that. Now she is planning to immigrate to canada. She is 4 months pregnant.
So -here are the questions -
1. Her medical etc were all done when she got pregnant. So, does she have to send a formal notification to Cic indicating that she is pregnant now?
2. i tried to find the official link but could not find any. Can someone please point me to the information?
3. i tried to find the information on the forum and did not find any.

Please help!

For one thing, she must land before giving birth. If she gives birth before landing the baby won't have PR and the entire family most likely will not be able to immigrate.

I don't know about insurance, but it doesn't matter where you land, except you can't land in Quebec. You can land in Toronto then move wherever you want.

If there is no way to get covered by insurance immediately, it's not a disaster. The hospitals are obligated to accept and treat people who are in emergencies and giving birth certainly counts. She will not give birth on the street. She might get a bill though.

There must be some official rules regarding this, I suggest finding them and becoming familiar with them quickly.

Hi future Can,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Could you please see the updated question list?
We decided that it makes sense to go to Alberta instead of Ontario.
Thanks much!
