My wife got pregnant after my I submitted my PR application and she did not go for Xray.
My medical report was submitted to IRCC and the lab informed them that my wife was pregnant.
Since then my application status has not changed nor any update.

Should I wait for a response from them?

She will be required to do the x-ray to pass the medical.

Hello. Did you hear from them? People I know wait for the birth of the child so that the pregnant person can do the x-ray exam. The issue is, it takes back the whole process since you'll need to add the child.

Yes, that’s what happens

Birth of a person thus adds another individual to the application

A pregnant women doesn’t want to do an xray since it can hurt the fetus

The fetuses safety has priority over the processing time of an application, don’t yah think ?

I wouldn’t classify it as an “ issue “

One chest x-ray is very unlikely to hurt a fetus. People should discuss with their doctor whether they should wait to do a chest x-ray or not.

“ Unlikely “ doesn’t mean 100%

Diagnostic X-rays and pregnancy
X-rays during pregnancy may have potential risks to an unborn child. Doctors are in the best position to weigh the risks against the benefits. If an X-ray is necessary, technologists will use special techniques to reduce the level of radiation and risk to the unborn child.

Informing your doctor if you are or might be pregnant allows them to take any appropriate precautions.

Why you wear a lead vest for extra protection. Many people still fly and a long flight has the same radiation exposure as a chest x-ray. The point is it is possible to do the chest x-ray while pregnant and you should speak to your doctor about your particular situation and also consider whether dealing your application makes sense.
