Pregnancy, medical and visa validity - Seniors please help

I did my medical few days ago. My wife did her medical except chest-xray as she is pregnant.
I was reading another post and read that PR Visa issue is valid for one year from the date of medical.

Baby is due in 6 months that only leaves 4 months (including baby's passport, update and medical etc) for PR to be issued and landing in Canada.
Is this deadline and my assumption realistic?

Senior please help me to understand this, is my assumption valid?
What is the next process going to be like?

I have asked CHC to tell me what the immigration process is going to be.
I will post the reply once I hear anything from them.

The post I read had following extract of letter from CHC:
5. Unless your passport expires on an earlier date, your visas will expire one year from the date of your medical
examinations. You must enter Canada on or before this date. If your passport, or any of your family members'
passports, are due to expire before this date, all visas will expire on the date that the first passport expires.
The validity of a Permanent Resident visa cannot be extended, nor can a replacement visa be issued with a
new validity date. If you do not provide us with your passport(s) before the expiry of your visa or you do not
use your visa(s) before their expiry date, and you still wish to immigrate to Canada, you will have to submit a
new application and processing fee. A new application would be assessed according to the Immigration Act
and Regulations in force at that time.

Hi Ramta,
You could have informed ur visa office and they would have surely obliged in extending the medicals date. What u did was appropriate if ur wife was around 8 months pregnant. Now u will have to wait till she delivers and send the new born childs docs plus fees and then Visa office will send medical request for wife xray part and for the kid.
If u happen to get delayed in ur PPR after these medicals then u will all have to undergo medicals again.

Regards,
Shibuya

I think if you and your wife were granted VISA then probably its best that you go ahead and land to canada ASAP, then give birth there but you must have a good amount of resources (funds). That way your offspring will be citizen and you dont have to worry about your childs passport. Well, thats just my opinion.

I wish your words come true and we get visa request. :)

But what are realistic chances that VO will send PPR as Xray of my wife is pending?

there is a possibility, As you will need to submit the passport, and 6+ 2-3 months processing. Then you may be asked to do medicals again.

Pooja,
Its always advisable to inform CHC and postpone ur medicals if u r in the 1st trimester of pregnancy. If u are in 3rd trimester then only think of doing ur medicals since visa validity depends on ur medicals or passport validity.

Shibuya

Could u highlight the NO CHANCES part.
Xray pending means after delivery the applicant will do the Xrays. So the question of No chances does not arise.
