My point was about the wait employers have to go through if they use the Job Bank. I understand the point you are making. However, in my opinion, 7% unemployed workforce aren't tantamount to 7% qualified and competent workforce. Employers would be happy to hire qualified and competent workforce from the Job Bank.
Haha so you think that there is no competitive workforce and you trying to save this country with your qualification? :D

there is no cherry picking. everyone over the cut off gets an ITA
This is true. It takes some time for the system to process the information and update the page. People shouldn't panic when they have above cutoff and haven't received ITA notification 30 minutes after announcement

Its fair on CICs part to select candidates with more points. And certainly people with jobs. In my opinion, that was the whole point of changing the system. To have lesser burden.

But the system is unfair because people like me(without a Canadian Job Offer), are left out of the competition, just because the Job Bank is still not doing what it was intended to do.. connect people like me to employers. Imagine where people like me(in the 380-420 range) would land on CRS with a 600-point-boost.

Canadian employers still seem pretty skeptic looking at this system, I think(I havent received a single response for any of my umpteen job applications through Job Bank). I would be skeptic too, if I had to wait 6 months(I guess) to fill a job position. CIC needs to work on this bottleneck.
Many persons, myself included have received job offers through the job bank pre-express entry. If you have a skill that an employer needs and cannot otherwise get in Canada then you will get a job. Employers have waited six months or more to get LMIA approval and for workers to get their work permits before. It is not unheard of.

Sitting on 435 points I can't be anything but hopeful. The uncertainty, the stress and the fatigue can be overwhelming. At times I can't even do my current job in peace because my thoughts wander towards "what if??".

The only thing we can do at this point is sit back, relax and enjoy what you have right now. You can't make CIC lower or increase the number of ITA they pick.

If you have room for improvement on your language scores. Do that.

And if you're like me with CLB 9+ in all sections there is nothing more you can do. Unless you want to go back to school ;)...
I for one hope to get the PR and then pursue a masters degree in Canada.

If all else fails my alternate route would be to pursue a Masters in Canada before a PR.

Guys on a side note. Many of us qualify for Australian immigration as well. It doesn't hurt to give that a look as well.

Best of Luck Everyone!

This is so much of me in ur post...

1)The uncertainty, the stress and the fatigue can be overwhelming. At times I can't even do my current job in peace because my thoughts wander towards "what if??". (I swear mahn!!!!)

2) if you're like me with CLB 9+ in all sections there is nothing more you can do.

3)I for one hope to get the PR and then pursue a masters degree in Canada.

Hi Preeti,

I'm sure there are many like us on this forum.

Even if we manage to get an ITA, we would need to get our documents in order within 60 days. I have already reached out to my former employer for the necessary documents and informed my current employer as well. I have read about several users on this form who had to cancel the ITA because they were unable to get the required documents.

In addition learning a new skill set or developing existing skills would go along way in preparing ourselves for the future. Regular workouts have helped reduce the stress.

I am actively researching other countries as well. Australia and to an extent New Zealand are good alternatives.

Keeping yourself positive should be a priority. Many of us may be disappointed at the end of this exercise. But hey we still have our current lives and current jobs.

Cheers

LMIA, not LMO, so that would be post TFW meltdown (Lol, I like that). Approval received in January of this year. And yes, my skill set is specialised.

by your handle I'm going to assume you are working on turning butterflys into super weapons for the mass destruction of CIC.

But on a more serious note I think the points will get to the low 400's before they start to make the draws more specific. People are forgetting that there is one line in each draw that says "under ministerial instruction"... I believe that leaves open CIC to conduct NOC or IELTS specific draws because they can just say "this is what the minister instructed us to do".

Dear all,

People who are not getting ita's even though their scores are 453 or above Need to analyze themselves why they haven't received the ita. Let me tell you the good reason, its not about scoring high its about factors also need to be looked at. Cic is not a welfare to give ita's to everyone who ever scores high. Your age, experience relevant education also means alot to cic. Cic does not want people to reside and live in canada they want us to grow their economy, to pay taxes and contribute your role in making the economy better.

So don't believe in your scores believe what you can contribute in Canada that's worth understanding
