I don't think CIC wants to cap score at any level. For ensuring that only well qualified candidates go thru, they have similar eligibility system to FSWP. Those who don't meet 67 points requirement for FSW would not be able to take part in EE.stiffmeister07 said:@ Jaxon - thanks for your valuable inputs. However, I just wanted to check that since the cut off is 453 points after the 8th draw, do you think that CIC are planning to keep it at 450 & above for this entire year..?? Let me know what you think..!!
Practically speaking, only thing CIC would consider CAPPING is the number of people it issues visas to in a given year. And that is exactly what they were capping in FSWP too. I think they would stick around 25000 mark for yearly number of visas under FSWP-EE, which excludes PNP and Job offer candidates. First couple of draws invited only PNP, CEC and job offer candidates so they probably wouldn't count towards the cap.
If CIC is doing two draws a month (which is what I've read somewhere), they'd issue about 1000 ITAs to FSWP-EE candidates + few hundred to PNP, job offer or CEC type of candidates in each draw.
Therefore, only challenge would be the number of new high scoring (450+) profiles which gets added to pool. So far trend has been that there have been enough to stop cut-off score going below a certain point. However, I do believe that this trend will change, but it's a matter of time. As EE is still a new program and many people who had everything ready to apply under FSWP but couldn't last due to cap or some other reason are part of the pool. And this program is also catching attention of many new candidates, I think around by the end of year, number of high new scoring candidates coming to the pool will start to go down and that's when cut-off score will go down too! My guess (yes GUESS because practically it's impossible to forecast an estimate due to lack of crucial information) is that score will hit around 400 mark towards the end of 2015!
