Hi there,

I have finally received my test/interview letter :). I sent my application in April 2012 and got RQ in April 2013. I sent back all the required documents in a month including certified translation of my passports.
I have a question. What should I bring in the test date? Is is necessary to have my passports translated again and bring them to the interview? I sent all the translations once with the RQ documents.

Thanks for the reply.

Good to hear you got a test invitation letter after a long time. You have to take all requested doc's in the test invitation letter. If you have a copy of the translations you can take them, as well as all necessary doc's ( lease, tax, employment, T4, school records, etc,.) what ever you think that might help to prove your physical presence and ties with Canada.

Did you travel and have any non English /french stamps after you submitted your application. If so, then "yes" you have to take those stamps/visas translated again.

If you live close to Mississauga ON, Dixie Bloor neighborhood Center will translate all your passports free.

Thanks esteem for the information. Yes I have a few non-English stamps in my passport after I submitted my RQ.

Could you please let me know how long does it take to have my passport translated at Dixie Bloor neighborhood Center?

It depends, If you have a letter from CIC requesting translated stamps within a time frame or due date, they will complete it within that due date and call you to pick them up. Or usually it takes one week to 10 days to get it done. They work Monday to Friday 9-to12pm 2to4pm, Located at Dixie and Burnhamthorpe intersection.

Make sure you take all color copies of your passports, Also expired if you have any, original Passport, PR card, Letter from CIC.

Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering if the expired passport should be translated again or not? I sent the translation once at time of RQ.

Hi,

There's no harm in translating all expired Passports too. Its free and though they don't ask you ( already submitted with RQ) for previous expired translations you can have them for your record. My opinion get it done. Good luck.
