Hi,

I am planning to apply citizenship in Feb 2018. Became a PR in Jan 2016. I have been in Canada under work visa from 2011. Do you guys have any idea from which year I can count the Pre-PR time under the new C-6 law which will be kicked soon?

While you will have 3 years of pre-PR days going back 5 years at time of application, you will only get to credit 2 years of pre-PR days to credit 1 year toward citizenship.

I understand that consistency. but my question is, can i count the days from year 2013 with the new rule? The reason is I have been out of the country for 30 days before landing as a PR.

All days within the five years before application count. As screech already stated, pre-PR-days are counted up to two years and the divided by two. There are no additional rules, like being out of the country for several days etc etc
