this is not clear that what does this 6-8 months letter mean. Most probably your background checks are over but it could be otherwise. Atleast I m not sure and the people on the forum are just putting their guesses.
Anyways did you get this letter through TCS along with your original docs?? My inprocess date is 16 April but i haven't get any letter yet.Need prayers :)

Thanks guys...ive emailed my consultant to ask her opinion but she normally keeps her cards close to her chest and doesnt reveal much! Will keep you posted if she does know anything!

Im not sure what TCS stands for, but the letter was posted to my lawyer in Canada and she scanned and sent it to me (im in the UK). To my knowledge, I havnt received any docs back yet (although it is mentioned in the letter that these will be sent). I can't remember sending any valuable docs - I have the originals of my degree certificates / marriage certificate etc so I may not be sent anything back?

Fingers crossed you will receive something soon!

Sarah

Yes, under normal circumstances you would have received your medicals, but at the cussrent circumastances you will have to wait till july before they start sending MR to all those who have turned IP as per their seniority, Visa allocation quota of their respective VO's and as per any rules which may come in to force along with the new MI.
But you can be sure that your case will be processed further and a rejection after this stage is very rare unless you have some serious problems with your Medicals.

Well it seems that Iam spared from the tiring wait for MR and the VO has decided to sent me home early..ha ha ha atleast thats what my Ecas says today ! A jump from RBVO to DM today.

Hi,

I am a May-2010 applicant and have received the
6-12 month letter in April. My ecas is different in the
sense that from day 1 it shows 'We started processing
your file on 7-Jul-2010' and has not changed till today.
The letter that I received says that a VO has reviewed
my file, found it eligible for further processing and is dated
23rd March 2012.
Anyone else in a similar situation ?

Regards

No need to worry. They have started processing your file and you may soon receive MR or a letter from them stating that you are eligible for further processing and need to waot for another 6-12 months.

Relax this is a good sign that your case is moving forward. Please make sure that you or your consultant has not or will not miis any communication from the London VO.
