A few questions on pre-ITA. I'm expecting ITA as I just got the extra 600 points.

1. I've been in canada since age of 17. Do I need a RCMP Police certificate for cananda? Never lived elsewhere for 6+ months. Please link me an answer.

2. Can I do medical before ITA? I have received mixed answers. Would like to hear someone with prior experience with this.

3. My letter of employment doesn't say NOC ####. No one knows what it is. is it gonna be a problem? (everything else is included in the letter of Employment)

4. I have a canadian bachelor (highest level I have). I only need to upload my degree + transcript? I don't need high school stuff right?

5. How long should my passport be valid for (mine expires in two years)

6. "Do you have an offer?" question. I have a job offer without LMIA. So yes to this and no to LMIA in the EE?

7. Bank statement can just be a teller's printout right? No need to pay $10 for the fancy one?

Thank you all so much :)

Not yet. CIC will tell you if and when you need one.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp

Not worth it. Medical reports have shown a tendency to fall through the cracks. Get it done before application submission after ITA. Closer the better. And choose someone who runs eMedical.

3. My letter of employment doesn't say NOC ####. No one knows what it is. is it gonna be a problem? (everything else is included in the letter of Employment)

It isn't mandatory. Wouldn't hurt to have it mentioned.

4. I have a canadian bachelor (highest level I have). I only need to upload my degree + transcript? I don't need high school stuff right?

Yes.

5. How long should my passport be valid for (mine expires in two years)

Good enough.

6. "Do you have an offer?" question. I have a job offer without LMIA. So yes to this and no to LMIA in the EE?

Answer No. It will save you some documentation problems later.

7. Bank statement can just be a teller's printout right? No need to pay $10 for the fancy one?

If you are in Canada with a job offer and just got extra 600 points, input Funds available as 0 and secure a CEC class ITA. You wouldn't have to worry about POF.

Thank you all so much :)

hi, is there any chance that the CRS score is not correct? If so, how can we report it?

I just had my Celpip scores reevaluated and I am expecting an additional 50+ in my score but after updating my profile, i barely get additional 19pts.

all my celpip scores are 9 and above, have 10 yrs foreign experience and 1 yr canadian experience (same NOC), ECA assessed as bachelors degree. i am currently on open work permit. with this, I am expecting to have my skill transferability under foreign work experience to be 75. 50 for having 3 or more foreign work experience with celpip scores above 9. and 25 for having 1yr canadian experience with 3yrs or more foreign experience.

however, i only have below:

CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 38
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 50

can you advise if my understanding is correct?

Your score of 88 in Skills Transferability is correct.

You get points under,

1. Education - 25 (combination of CLB 9 & Bachelors ) + 13 (combination of Bachelors & 1 year of Canadian work experience)

2. Work experience - 50 (combination of CLB 9 & foreign work experience)

thank you for your response!
But how about this one, won't i be getting points for this?

Foreign work experience – With Canadian work experience

Years of experience Points for foreign work experience + 1 year of Canadian work experience
(Maximum 25 points) Points for foreign work experience + 2 years or more of Canadian work experience
(Maximum 50 points)
No foreign work experience 0 0
1 or 2 years of foreign work experience 13 25
3 years or more of foreign work experience 25 50

The maximum points anyone can get under each subsection of Skills Transferabilty is 50. So the maximum points under Skills Transerability is 100 only.

In your case, you get 88/100 because you can't get more than 38 in Education and you are already maxed out on Experience sub-section at 50 points.
There is nothing wrong with your CRS score.

Hope that clarifies. All the best!

Thanks for the quick reply man.

Also, in the work history in the EE profile, do I just fill in the ones that earn points?

I have work experience during University. Should it be included?

Just the ones that earn you CRS points and/or program eligibility points.

Work done during full-time education can be included as part-time work experience.

Thanks Asivad!

I'm sorta getting a mixed message here. I don't enter the work during full-time education in EE profile. Is that correct?

Work experience gained during full-time education in Canada cannot be claimed at all. If it was outside Canada, it can be claimed but as part-time work experience because the applicant was studying full-time simultaneously.

Your choice if you want to include that experience in your profile or not.

Hi Asivad.
I am new on this forum, and about to create an EE profile soon. My everything else is sorted out got 4 years bachelors and master evaluation from WES, got 9 or more CLB in all four ielts section. only problem is my work experience. Details as follows
jan 2011- to july 2012 (19months) (then went abroad for masters study)
sept,2014 to till date (3 months leave to travel to australia in between).
That is total of 27 months (not including leave during travel and 48 hrs per week). Do you this it will translate to 3 years or more in CANADA.

Thanks

Nope. That will be 27 months in Canada as well. Number of hours/week is a secondary calculation - you would still require 36 months or 156 weeks of work experience with at least 30 hours/week to be equivalent to 3 years of work experience.

Oh, if it would have been 3 years I would get 471 in crs :'(
and 1 more question, all my work is from same employer, same organization, same NOC (little change in responsibilities) but with 2 years gap in between since I went to study abroad, How do u suggest to write the experience letter,
1.should I write 2 differect letters
2. after I came back from studies, I worked 3 months than 3 months leave to travel aboard and the working to till date. (should this be included in letter as well??

Thanks

You can get 1 letter showing the break in employment and change in roles & responsibilities (if any) or 2 separate letters. Doesn't make a difference. When you input this into your work history, you would still need to create 2 line items else the system might miscalculate your overall experience.

2. after I came back from studies, I worked 3 months than 3 months leave to travel aboard and the working to till date. (should this be included in letter as well??

I imagine a 3 month leave/year isn't regular but that need not be mentioned in your reference letter. You will have to mention it in your work history accordingly else the system might miscalculate and add 3 months to your experience. You might really need 3 line items in your work history. 1 for pre-Masters, 1 for post-Masters & pre-vacation and 1 for post-vacation.

Thanks
