Pre-booking of air ticket

HELLO, Friends,
I wanted to ask that can I book an air ticket before getting my visa? Actually I heard that air tickets should be booked at least 1 month before your departure date. Whereas, someone told me that I should not take any risk , if you would get your visa rejected then, they ll deduct a lot of money while refunding. Is that true? Which option is preferable? And which airline is better in terms of baggage and timing and all?

Unless you can afford to lose money shpuld not book a ticket until you have a visa. Some airlines depending on type of ticket can charge 100 percent cancellation or best case a charge to change. Given you have not said where you are travelling from nobody can really recommend any airline.

Don't book a ticket until you have an approved study permit.

Don't book ticket before you have your visa. There is noyhing that says you have to book your flughts a month in advance. You can book on the day of your travel if you want. Even buy at airport hours begore departure. Just don't do it before you have your visa.

Rejections are rare? Have you bothered to read anything on this forum?

I will tell u how rejections are rare.. i have read many blogs and als facebook accounts of universities in canada. Hundreds of ppl students are enrolled in Canadian universities. Where as very few who have applied and rejected students with less ties. Funds. Qualifications. IELTS. found on this forum. That means who achieved visa are more then some few who bang they heads in this forum after rejected

Those who bang their heads after rejection and come on this forum are 'still rejected' so how rejection become 'rare'. Sorry my friend I find it bit weird.

I hope no-one gets rejection. Because, after putting so much of extra efforts and hard work, and after gone through a very stressful waiting period, rejection is like a feeling of frustration. Some of our parents have given their whole life's saving. I wish everybody would get their visa.

GOOD LUCK

What Victor is trying to imply makes some sense. Usually it's people at the very ends of the spectrum posting on this forum. Either those who got rejected, and a very few who got approved. You don't see so many people on this forum posting about their visas getting approved, however you see tons posting about their rejections. Out of the millions who apply for study permits each year, it doesn't mean almost everyone is getting rejected just because of the postings on this website
