Hi All,

I have received pre arrival services letter for my sponsored child (under 15 yrs old) , does it mean i can go ahead and apply for his OHIP even though his application is still under process?

You have to wait until the child has landed and is officially a PR before you can submit the OHIP application.

Child is already in canada as visitor but OOS.
Considering he is already in canada can I still apply for OHIP?

No - again, you need to wait until the child is a PR.

Now I have received the COPR and currently waiting for the appointment to arrange landing interview inside Canada.

Meanwhile am I eligible to apply for child's OHIP in ontario?

So since we have now COPR can we apply?

No. Asking the same question multiple times will not get you a different answer.

If you want to know for sure, go to the Service Canada office with the unsigned CoPR and try and apply. See what they tell you.
