That would be great - so many people read the boards (even if they don't respond) and find this information useful :)

I'm on day 17 of receiving the letter - if I get any updates I will post too.

Yes me too this forum helped me a lot, long time ago even before i get my PR. you just have to find the right topic with the active forum members who frequently post to be able to find response. lol

Does anyone know if you can still get called in for an interview even if you received the pre-arrival services email? @joes @Diana M @permafrost_can @davidandlilia @junzky28 @Rtua @APF - does anyone know or have heard of anything like this?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Ive searched other feeds in relation to interviews, check this feed out:

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...ds/invitation-to-pre-arrival-services.531523/

From what I can see, there was a user that an interview was requested. A little while later, they received an email regarding prearrival services.
To the best of my knowledge, the visa office or officer may request an interview if there are inconsistencies or doubts about the application. Even while checking the consolidation spreadsheet it appears that over 90% of applicants never had an interview requested. Upon additional research of other feeds, if you received an invitation to prearrival services, many have got their background check done and shortly after, DM and PPRT comes after that. That's what I'm praying for in my wife's case. If something were to come up in the background check, it's a possibility they can call an interview but if everything is clear and all checks out on the background information on the application, I can't see CIC holding anything back. We just need to pray everything will go through and without any hinderments.

That's a good thing!! Are you the sponsor or the principal applicant? What is the international visa office that's outside of Canada you and/or one of you are dealing with? Are you inland or Outland applicant?

Hi @joes thank you for all the insight! It's so nice to be able to talk to others about this stuff :) It relieves some of the stress to know other have gone through it :)

I've been searching the threads too - and found the one you posted very useful.

So as far as I can tell (correct me if I'm wrong) - when you get the pre-arrival - your background checks are still not complete it seems. So it doesn't make sense to get a letter inviting you to use Canadian services! :) So confusing!!

Here's to hoping one of us gets some news soon - and posts our experience for others to see too.

Ive searched other feeds in relation to interviews. They would usually request it before your pre-arrival

Many users have been reporting that the Manila VO always sends the pre-arrival invitation first before DM or PPR. I guess this is how Manila does theirs while other visa offices do it at a different stage. I was also reviewing the consolidated spreadsheet as well doing a temporary filtering of the excel document specific to Manila from each of the months prior to August 2017 and from what I can tell those who have reported their BG, DM, and PPR, these all occurred all on the same date, a couple of them the BG, DM, and PPR all occurred at the same time. There were a couple where BG and DM are a few days apart or perhaps didn't report their timeline. Based on my review of the trends, it appears once you get a DM status, your PPR is also issued too.
If you hear anything new with your application as well or any updates, please feel free to tag me and let me know. I shall do the same. Gods timing for both of us will be here soon and we will be reunited with our loved one(s)

I am the sponsor. Our file is Outland and the Visa Office is in Mississauga.
