1. I will try finding the link of exact number of increment. its around 15,000 more than in 2011 as far as I can remember

2. Starting today, Ottawa will stop accepting applications for immigration sponsorships of parents and grandparents until 2014 in hopes of reducing a growing backlog.
====They'll now have more scope of working on the FSW backlog now.

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/1081314--canada-a-nice-place-to-visit-but-you-can-t-apply-to-live-here

3. dont forget, after announcing MI-3 and already 6 months have already gone since June 2011, MI-2 applicants those havent received their MR's by now are well into the backlog now. CIC is fat working on MI3 and I dont believe clearing out MI-3 wouldnt take more than June 2012 as 99% of the caps would go fulfilled well before that timeline.

btw SP88, whats your timeline? which VO?

Jnathan,

Thanks for your information...

Today, I received my CAIPS report in which there is nothing except 10 points for my age. One line written in caipts read as "PAPER FILE SENT TO MPR - FILE BF'D TO FRR ON 21-01-2011" What does this mean? Is this my BF'D? If yes, then its already passed. No other BF'D mentioned in caips report. How can I know when my case will be looked into by the VO?

MPR is a location in the visa office. Your file was to be be reviewed on or before 21-01-2011.
Good luck..

Mehulca, we have similar time-lines my 2nd AOR is in end of July 2010 as well. Looking at your CAIPS not sure what NDVO is doing with Pre-Juner's very dissapointing. However I suggest consulting Captain Qorax for better guidance around interpreting your CAIPS.

mehulca

it was last reviewed in January and has since been kept stalled.
When you have too many spectators, you don't get to watch the match you have targeted. you'll have to stand in the queue for the next match. this is what happened to a lotttt of Indians.

I am so disappointed to see only 10 points have been calculated and they showed no more interest on processing the file. I doubt nothing good at this moment but stay hopeful as things could get a whack in 2012-2013 and I'd tell you to look for other countries.

Jnathan, in 17 months so far only 10 points for age calculated by the VO? what happened to the remaining criteria like education, expereince etc....? does it mean they have not even looked at the eilgibilty yet, when will they start looking at processing the files then???

Manonthemove

its only a matter of 3-8 months for them to process all the pre Juners. the problem is there arent enough jobs in Canada for these waiting pre juners; 4131, 0213 etc . their jobless rate is around 7.3 % now and it must come down to 2% like Australia. only then Canada could feed these awaiting applicants into their job market.

They had indeed started calculating the points for mehul but then came the MI-2 and bureaucratic instructions to halt the processing of MI-1. This is a type of punishment. you can say its a curse of getting born in an over educated country like India where there are millions of qualified teachers and a lot of them want to go to Canada. Look at offices like Ankara, Vienna, their MI-1 applicants are still getting their visa issued even at the time when MI-2 and MI-3 applicants are being processed.

Thanks Jnathan

although CHC Delhi is not issuing medicals to pre june applicants

I fail to Under stand why we were changed to "In process" in Nov 2011

obviously there is something happening behind the scenes

There is a strong hope for pre-June 2010 (MI 1) applicants in the coming months (first half of the year). Keep faith.

Best wishes to all those who have been waiting for the next steps.
