Well as was hinted prior to the 2012 Budget, it appears that Kenney is doing away with the Pre-2008 FSW backlog. According to the story in the Winnipeg Press http://tinyurl.com/7wtcq3t That the 300K applications in the Pre 2008 backlog will have their applications and fees returned. There is a budget of $130Million, but the numbers don't add up. 300K applications at $550 is $165Million.

PMM, your calculation is even based on an applicant, how about if the principal applicant has a if and 3 kids. Do you think 2007 applicants with medical request sent and done are exempted from this sad news?

This is very sad news on the part of many applicants who have the dream of "Being in Canada 1 day". Many applicants are now not in the position to apply, their NOC being in the in-demand list.

I think returning of applications and refund of fees will happen only in those cases which are not in process. People who are "In Process" need not to worry. This is my opinion. Waiting for seniors to comment.

PMM, do your math again, from 420,000 applicants to 260,000, approx 140milion CAD

Because you would lose. Every country has made it clear that the visa they grant is a privilege and not a right. They can make the rules as they go along and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

It is really, really sad for the pre 2008 applicants that it had to come to this. My heart goes out to them.

Was asked to fill new application forms in May 2010
Vo office waiting for a child custody document before issuing medicals
Am I concerned by this decision to return applications?

I'm sad... angry... astonished... "we asked you for your patience, please wait... we're doing our best... just keep waiting..." then PUM.... go to hell!

Who will return us all the time we spend on this project? The english lessons, the IELTS fees, Lawyers (if you hire them), etc etc... all for nothing...

I cannt believe this is happening, 6 years in queue for nothing?
