pre 2008 case - close and shut - 5 years wait down the drain

There was an agreement between the CIC and the lawyers in 18th September that CIC will not start returning the files before the case is judged. HOwever this agreement was not written and I do not think CIC will hold its promise.
At any case, this will make no difference, because all applicants have the right to sue CIC whether the application is returned or not.

Does it mean that there is still HOPE with all the pre 2008 applicants regardless if they joined or not on the litigation??

There is off course hope. But I Think if you do not join any lawsuit your chances are very little,,,,,,
Try to join so that you benefit from the judgment if the lawsuit is not turned into a class action

Why CIC doesn't send any email to inform applicants Pre Feb 2008 what will CIC do next ? Let's say when CIC will refund the application fees etc? So we don't need to wonder what is going on ? So no need to wait and wait :

as far as I know, CIC is holding off handing out refunds. however, if the applicant will advise them of their wish to close their application and have the refund now, certainly CIC will be very happy to do just that.

hence, if you are really interested to receive your refund now, you can send CIC an email and simply tell them you are withdrawing your application and that you are asking for your refund now.

For refund do we have to wait for 5 more years? please take this as serious question. As everyone would think that ecas is in progress lets wait till they give final NO to my application.

Dear friendz,

After long time I hve seen ur posts on this forum , as I had stop
using this forum. Why bc 2 months back my friend got medical (he is from 2004).When he did his medical,on the same day he got email not to hve medical and to wait for cic ins. He didnt as he already had medical...sent his medical along with the landing fees.He got now cic reply for landing fees returned.
