are u in Canada? if baby will be born in Canada - he/she will be Canadian already. when baby is born u have to tell this to immigration. also u must apply for the child's citizenship card and a Canadian passport.

no i m in pakistan .... my case is in process for the last 8-9 months. and now i m pragnant so i wantto know that does it will affect my case?

Sister Salaam if you need any type of help go to this forum where anyone who applied through pakistan will be able to answer you. Good luck

Once the baby borns outside Canada, notify CIC immediately. Thats the only option you have.

If the baby is born before your process completes, you will have to notify CIC-Islamabad and then his/her process will be added to your file. Which means some more forms to fill and some more time is required for the process. I Hope that your case completes before your baby is born Inshallah. Currently CIC-Islamabad is taking approximately 12 to 15 months for female cases and you said your case is in process for 8-9 months. Now it depends on when you are due, you do the math and hope for the best.

How did your husband obtain canadian citizenship? If he was born in Canada or immigrated and was deemed Canadian, his (your) baby, born outside of Canada has rights to Canadian citizenship... CiC should be notified, but the baby will not be included in your PR application... You should contact the embassy and find out what paperwork the baby will need to travel... I believe there are ways to get travel permission for children of canadians born outside of canada, but I suggest you speak with them...as soon as you can, you should apply for the proof of citizenship card for the baby... It's a straightforward application and a reasonable fee... Took me about 6m to get my daughters from within canada...

Good luck and congrats
