Dear All,

My wife and I got COPR along with Visa for our express entry permanent residency. I am the principal applicant and my wife is dependent applicant. Visa is valid only for one month which means we need to land in Canada by 5th Oct. We are not in position to travel as my wife is pregnant which we came to know last week after submission of passport. Please suggest how to proceed further. They have mentioned in COPR documents that VIsa can not be extended after one month. But, they have also mentioned that we need to notify if there is change in status/medical conditions. We can not travel in a month.

Need your supprt and guidance.

If I were you I would go to Canada before the 5th of October and have the baby there. Otherwise you can do a soft landing - cross the border before the 5th of October just to activate the residency and come back to your home country a few days later. And move to Canada when you are ready. But if the baby is born outside of Canada you would have to sponsor it (unless something changed in the last year).
I don't think CIC will let you wait until after the baby is born.
It's your decision.

Why can't you travel? It sounds like your wife is still in the early months of her pregnancy.
