I submitted pr through EE on mid-November, 2016. It has been four months now. But my work permit will be expire on June. Not sure If I need to extend work permit...I'm hoping to receive pp request soon on April......
Anyone knows about this??? Thanks....

Depending on your situation you can ask for the bridge visa instead, have you considered this ?

CIC website says takes about 6 months to process. In that case, I should get a result on May. So that will be fine before my work permit expires.
Do you know the recent waiting time?

Actually, you can search using the myimmitracker, this is the link for the applicants from november and december, as suggestion, you can either check their timeline according with their corresponding stream to get a roughly idea about the time.

Thank you. I realize My CIC : BG is changed from "Not needed ata this time to"we are processing your background check...." Not sure if this is a good sign...
