PR Visa printing in CIC Delhi consulate

My wife PP has been dispatch and send throw courie to her add today. So hoping to be delivered today.
she submited her PP on 15 June 2015.

Guys , Need your urgent help.

I have received "ready for visa" email today .
I have applied PR from India and mentioned visa office New Delhi,but still they requested me to send passports to Ottawa.

I have sent email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca change visa office to New delhi with following information.

Date: June 30, 2015

Is this information fine? .Not sure how many days/weeks they will take it change visa office.

How many days they took for you to change visa office? .

hey - you're good after sending this email... it's the usual process, all PPs are requested for Ottawa irrespective of your visa office.

it may take a few days to 2-3 weeks before you get a response back but as I've seen others do it, after waiting for 1 week you can follow up with New Delhi consulate - they may (there's no guarantee) help and ask you to submit your PPs even before CIC responds back.

you dont necessarily need to wait for weeks.. Just wait for 2 days and then, continuing on the same mail chain, fwd the email to Delhi CHC (email id is DELHI-IM-ENQUIRY.. something.. check that out) and tell them that you have already requested for passport submission office tobe changed to new delhi. they will surely respond back within 2-3 days asking you to submit passports in new delhi.

this is the way to fast track the process.. otherwise if youa re planning to wait for a reposnse from CPC-OTTAWA.. it might take 2-3 weeks as well. Hence its your call whether you want to wait it out or accelerate it

Finally Recieved my Stamped Passport from CHC new Delhi VIA VFS.


Penultimate step of becoming a PR Complete.. Hoping to do my Landing by first Week of August.

Hi Guys,

Today , I have received passport request from CPP Ottawa to submit my passport at New Delhi . However , due to some urgent work I have travelled outside of India ,and will be back to India on 18th July 2015. I hope still its fine to submit passports at VFS office on . Please correct me If I am wrong.

My daughter passport is expiring in May 2016 and less then 1 year. I understand that 6 months validity is fine ,but Is it good idea to apply new passport under tatkal for my daughter and get new passport before 18th July 2015. Is Consulate still accepts the new passport ? or do I need to send present passport only ? Please advice ... I would really appreciate your help on this . Many thanks.

Here is the extract from the PPR email:

"NOTE: Your passports and photos must be received by the visa office in New Delhi within 30 days of the date of this letter.".

If you submit the passports on July 18th, you are good and you don't need to renew your daughter's passport as the immigrant visa is valid for one year from the date of the medicals of the PA. Since you did IME on April 10th, the validity of the visas would be April, 2016.

IMHO if you decide to renew the passport CIC should accept the new passport and issue the immigrant visa on your daughter's new passport.

Passport & COPR recd: July 7th, 2015.

It took exactly 5 business days for the Canadian High Commission to issue our PR visas, the promised processing time on VFS website.

Hi All,

Appreciate all your responses.

Applied under CEC, received my Passport with PR VISA stamped on July 01, 2015. Also requested Ottawa Office for PR VISA stamping at New Delhi Office for dependent and below are the timelines.

Now I am waiting for landing, received instructions, until dependents does not get VISA Primary Applicant should not complete landing process?. I am waiting since July 1st for landing and not yet received my dependets passport. Please advise shall I go ahead and complete my landing, will there be any issues while landing, please share your expereience. I need to travel back to India due to some emergency.

Please advise, timeline for VISA stamping at New Delhi Office for dependent.
