While I have no idea if the CIC has employees working on the weekends, I can confirm that I have gotten an email on a Sunday telling me there was an update on my application.

i think they work on weekends too. May be they work in shifts. Anyway, I can confirm that my previous work permit application was approved on a Sunday.

Yes - it's certainly possible. When my husband was going through the process one of his updates was received on a Sunday evening (it was a manual update and not a system update).

And yes - government employees sometimes work weekend just like anyone else. I have many friends who work in government jobs. Not sure why you're assuming weekend work isn't possible...

Who said it was an autmated update? However, more to your point, I know 2 coworkers who got updates over weekends, one got PR and the other got a rejection. So, yes, you can get PR updates over the weekend.

I saw another post stating that they passed their medical on Saturday... I trust the poster to be honest.. so yeah it appears that some CIC employees work over the weekend.

Even I got an update email today and when I opened mycic it said updated but there was no update there. It's weekend. That makes me believe that they do work weekends also. Anything possible with cic

you can predict Storm or sunny day but not CIC they can do anything on anytime. got updates every-time on Friday

yes I got email CIC update and message at 5.00pm
