Hi Experts,

We(me & my husband) are planning to apply for PR under CEC.
I am not working for the past 1 year (home maker), moreover don't have skilled experience in Canada.
My husband has got 6.5,6.5,7,6 - LRSW in IELTS.
Currently we have got 432 points.
He is earning $35000 per annum, $2400 per month.
He is working with PGWP & has got job offer but dont have lmia.

  • Can he apply PR for us together through CEC category?
  • Does his income in any way affect us in applying for PR?

If I appear for IELTS & evaluate my degree, then our score will raise upto 452.
Anyway it will take some time for me to take ielts & evaluate my degree.

  • Is it possible for us to update the score & credential evaluation details once after we submit our initial application?

While filling Express Entry Profile,

In Personal Details:
Under Family,

How much money (in Canadian dollars) will my husband bring to Canada to support themselves and their family?

We both are in Canada & moreover going to apply for PR under CEC

  • In this case do we need to show some amount in our bank account?
  • If so how much & for how long period do we have to save it in our account?
  • My husband is earning $2400 monthly, till now we dont have any savings in our account.
Apart from our expenses we can show $500 in our account is that ok?

My husband took 4 years to finish MBA in BC, Canada with some breaks in between but his period of studies is 2 years.

In Study and Languages:
Under Education History,

  • In "Complete/Full academic years" do we have to write 4 or 2?
  • whereas in "from/to" can we fill the exact starting/ending month/year?

In Work History:
Under Intended Work in Canada,

Does xxx have a job offer in canada?
The offer must:
be for full-time, non-seasonal and permanent work
meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification)

He is working with PGWP & has got job offer but dont have lmia.

  • So, What do we have to answer for the question, Does xxx have a job offer in Canada, Yes or No?

Under Work History,

  • Do we have to fill only skilled jobs?
  • Is it for the past 10 years of work history?

Please help needed.

Thanks,
Lekshmi

He has to submit his express entry profile. If he receives an invitation to apply, CIC will inform you which program to apply to.

  • Does his income in any way affect us in applying for PR?
\

No, not really, but it has to be in line with the norm for his position / NOC.

Yes.

Most applicants have to show proof of funds, Those with a "valid job offer" (LMIA + offer of permanent employment) are exempt from this.

    2

He can say yes about the job offer (if he has a written offer in hand), but it won't really matter. There is a separate question that asks if you have an LMIA.

  • Do we have to fill only skilled jobs?

Yes.

  • Is it for the past 10 years of work history?

You can include up to 10 years of work history. But for every job you list, you will be expected to provide proof (letter of employment/reference). For the EE profile, you only need to list the jobs that you want "credit" for under the CRS scoring system. (Later, if you are invited to apply, you will have to provide a complete list of all employment...)
