PR Travelling to the US from Canada

Hey,

My Husband is a new Permanent Resident of Canada and I wanna go to the states to go shopping. Anyone recently been over the boarder as a PR with no US Visa?
He has his PR Card and Sin #, and passport.... I need info on the process and easiest way to go to the USA?

Anyone been through this recently?

Check the US border website. If he needed a visa before he became a PR he will still need a visa as a PR. It is his legal citizenship which determines visa status not his residency status.

He will need a visa as PR card wont allow u into US is not a passport plus if he is not from a visa waiver country which the US has a recipocal agreement then yes he will need a visa but i cases like this, It should be easy to acquire the visa

PR card only determines his status in Canada and US does not consider it as a travel document into US.
If you do not fall under the exempt countries list (entry without visa) you will not be permitted into US without visa on basis of PR.
