Hi, I am a Permanent Resident living in Toronto.

I am currently pregnant and delivery is due end of March, 2015.

I would like to bring my Mom over so she can help me out @ home after giving birth to new baby.

I am hoping to call her here for 3 - 6 months, as its gonna be tough on me to care for a 2 year old + new baby, as husband gets tied up

with work n all, and I have no1 else to lean on.

Pls advise on what forms / process I would need to follow / go thru.

*** I already got a Letter from my Family Dr. here in Canada stating the approx date of delivery.

ThankU!

She has to apply fora visitor visa at the Canadian Embassy/Consulate in her home country.

It is impossible to sponsor your mother for PR in that short time.

You can apply for a Super Visa for her, which is a ten year visa. You will need to buy health insurance for her though.

Right, we are not sponsoring her for PR reasons.

She will only be here for max 3- 6 months.

So for the super visa's or travel visas, all must be submitted from outside Canada right? We do not have to submit anything from inside Canada then.

From what country? We used an agency (in Philippines) to prepare application for baby's grandma's visit visa. After providing everything they asked for and submitting it... it took only four days for approval. We strongly recommend using an agency if available in your home country. They asked for things we would not have thought necessary.
