Hey,

I am in a situation and I want some suggestions and help from you guys. I am a Canadian PR with PR card valid upto Oct 05 2024. I have just stayed in Canada for 10 days after my landing and till now. I wish to move to Canada within next 2 months (before Oct'22 or maybe early) . Also I am going to sponsor my wife to Canada within next 6-7 months after getting a job and fulfilling all the other requirements. Technically, I can still complete my residency obligation if I land before Oct 05 2024. Considering my situation, should I make a move of moving to Canada? Would my RO become a hurdle for me in sponsor my wife, as I am very much concerned about getting her here within next 1-1.5 yr.

The residency obligation is calculated from the date of original landing, not the expiry date of your PR card. When did you originally land in Canada and become a PR? We need to know this information to determine what's possible and what isn't.

I landed on 19 Sept 2019 and returned on 28 Sept 2019. Which means 28 Sept is the date, right? What if I land before this date and how it is going to affect my Spousal Sponsor application in future.

Yes, you need to return to Canada before you have been outside of Canada for 3 years. Once you have been outside of Canada for 3 years, you will be out of compliance with the residency obligation and sponsoring your spouse will be a problem.

If you move ahead with returning, don't return on September 28th, return at least a few days (ideally a week) earlier to make sure you're not cutting it too close and to have some wiggle room in case of flight delays.
