PR Request letter - Wrong form IQAS

Dear all,

we submitted our PR application last month. Our points are 967 including the 600 provincial nominee. Our category is Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee (although in the request letter it says that "This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker class ")

Today, we got a request letter from IRCC saying that our IQAS was not the one for immigration, and we should contact IQAS ASAP to make the ECA report availabe for IRCC. I did the ECA three years ago and completely unaware that the ECA was not for immigration purposes.

We called IQAS, and they said that we have to submit a new application for ECA as the one we got was invalid for immigration purposes. However, it is impossible to get the ECA within one month as requested by IRCC.

Could you please advise me what to do so that my PR will not be rejected.

Well send the necessary docs to IQAS ASAP to get ECA within the requested time frame. You are lucky CIC did not reject your application outright. Once docs have been submitted to IQAS, send CIC any correspondence you receive from IQAS.

FYI CEC/PNP all fall under Federal Skilled Worker class.

Thank you very much for your advice. However, ECA cannot be done in one month to send to CIC.

As ECE is not mandatory for Canadian experience class, can we just submit our current ECA report to CIC. Could you please let me know your thoughts.
