Hi

I have not lived in Canada at all since i got my PR. My PR has already expired.
I am in US on H1 and honestly I do not see myself moving to Canada at this point.

However, I would like to visit Canada to visit family/tourism.

I can drive from US to Canada. What is my best course of action:

1. Drive to the border and seek entry as a PR - What are the chances of that working out?
2. Perhaps, just renounce the PR and apply for a tourist visa. How long does PR renunciation take and how long is the visa process from US for Indian citizen?

You will be allowed into Canada. However it's quite possible you may be reported for failing to meet the residency requirement which will trigger the loss of your PR status. However you will be allowed in.

When did your PR card expire?
