Hi Ajoshi,

you need to meet the 730 days obligation before applying for a 100% positive result. and you can good which document you need to renew you PR card.

You need proof of having been in Canada for the past 2 years. Include your tax returns and a bank letter from your employer. Copy all the pages of your passport. Show some proof of your 12 day trip really only being 12 days. Immigration may have access to the date you came back from that trip but not the date that you left.

I am frequent commuter to US and every weekend (plus 1 day work from home) to Canada. so far my entry to Canada is peaceful. Except once, they asked me, why am i still keep the Health card, when most of the time you live in US in a week. sometimes, I get friendly advise from them, like create log of entry / exit from Canada and keep it ready for any quick reference if there is a query regarding meeting the timeline for renewal and they clearly told me, they don't share the immigration track history with individuals.

I am thinking about future, what if I will continue to commute next 2 years - Canada <--> US (expires by 2015 end), will there be any queries or holding my entry towards expiry of my PR term?

Kindly advise me what would i do to justify / convince the border agents to let me in?

BTW, my family lives in Toronto and hopeful they will qualify for renewal.

Thank You

Just say to them that they must let you enter because you meet the residency requirements. You may have a problem renewing your PR card when the time comes because you will have to prove to immigration that you meet the residency obligation of 730 days per 5 years. For the PR residency obligation, both your travel days count so if you come home on Thursday evening and leave again on Sunday evening, you will have 4 days in Canada per week.

When it's time to renew your PR card, get a letter from your employer stating what your agreement is and that you work in the US 4 days a week and work from your home in Canada 1 day and spend the weekend at your home in Canada.
