PR Renewal - Principal Applicant Revived Card, Dependent Pending.

Hi All,

Mine was tricky case of PR Renewal as I was working for Canadian Employer in US so was my family with me in US, I applied my PR Renewal in Nov 2014 and I was requested to apply for Travel Document in May 2015 for all of the family member which I was successfully able to get.

After sending the PRTD to CIC office my file along with my spouse and child was sent back to Sydney to complete the processing for all the applicant (I received the letter saying that in July 2015) but the glitch is here, Sydney processed and dispatched my card which I went picked up in Sept 2015 but for my wife and kid there is no response at all I spoke with CIC today and the agent sent the request to Sydney asking for the update.....

Not sure what is going on and I have to travel back again for a important project deadline along with my family back to states, in this case I know I can drive and come to Canada but my wife lost her Landing Paper (COPR) I got a copy of it in my email can I use that or if they ask my wife and kid to pick up the card in person can I enter Canada showing that letter, would that help us enter Canada via road?

Present copies of what your wife has to CBSA at the border when you next return to Canada. You will all likely be sent to Secondary Inspection anyway and they will be able to check their databases and confirm your identity and PR status (the original immigrant visa sticker in her passport if she still has it helps with this process anyway). Once your PR status is confirmed then you have a constitutional right to admission. Just pick a quiet day or crossing point though eh!

Anyway I was suppose to leave for US and a day before I just called randomly to check the status with CIC and they said my Spouse and Kids PR card was ordered for production on 3rd.....
So I thought its better to stay for few more weeks and take the cards and go.....

Any idea how long it usually takes for the cards to get mailed out? as we was in secondary review and I personally went and picked up card I am suspecting my dependents will have to go through with the same crap most likely so any idea give or take approx how long it will for CIC to mail me the letter to pick up the card?
