PR Renewal not meeting residency obligation.

Peace be upon you. I, along with my family had got canada PR on Feb'2011 and we stayed 15 days there before returned to our residing country.our PR will be expired on Feb'2016 . Finally, we have decided to live in canada permanently and would like to move in before six months of expiring.

we seek your kind advice in relation to eligibility of our entry to canada, living there after PR expire,feasibility of our intention.

You will be eligible to enter Canada, as you are still a valid PR (only your PR Card expires), however...there's a good change that the CBSA officer will report you for non-compliance, which would result in a hearing to [likely] revoke your PR.

If you are able to remain in Canada for 730 days (without any action taken by CIC/CBSA), you will have then reset your RO requirements.

Thank you. If I enter calgery,canada next month, shall I get my health care card and driving licence before expiring my PR, expiry date Feb 2016 and health care card and driving licence shall remain valid after PR expiry date. would my child admit to school?

Hi ,
Can any member of this forum share the validity of ' ONE year PR ' instead of 5year beside the one people get in order to follow an appeal in IAD.I have heard that sometime CiC issue some discretion cards too if the Residency obligation is minor or few days are less than 730 days requirement?As when i filed my appeal in IAD They SENT ME THE HISTORY of my case and mentioned in it that oneyear PRcard sent to the agent for PICKUP.I went to etobicoke office and collected it but there is no specific information with it that this card is valid only to attend the appeal now my question is that can i relinquish my appeal and can apply again after 2years.
please share any advise or experience.

No. You relinquish your appeal = you lose PR status and you have to leave Canada. The card gives you NO status. It's a travel document essentially, that's all.
