Hi Everyone,

I applied For Canadian Permanent Residence In 2008 and it got rejected cause I didn't fall in the category of the required Federal skilled workers. Now I am applying for TRV for Tourism. Moreover, I am no longer interested in moving to Canada as I got a good job in my country. What Shall I write in my form so that it doesn't get rejected? How can I convince the Officer that I will come back to my country?

Many Thanks :)

Hello,

Well, you just mentioned that you now have a job, right. Will your employer give you the time off for tourism. Try to get a work letter, that's what I heard works best from this site. Ask for a letter stating your position, salary and so forth. Ask your boss to mention the fact that he his granting you the time off for the reason of your trip. Like I said on the CIC site they mention a letter from your employer is required but some of the pros on this site really imply having your employer ensure that your position will be available on return is important and not just getting a letter stating your position and salary. Hope that helps you out.

Yup, a certificate of employment from a reputable company, an approved leave of absence, funds to support the trip, properties and family and friends not in order of importance, can help serve as "ties" to your origin and a lot of prayer :).

Thanks cocomtl and job_seeker.

I have one for question do I have to provide my bank statement for the proof of Funds? How much do I have to declare for the proof of
funds cause me and my wife is going on the trip for one month only.

My second question is are they going to call the company for the verification of the employment letter cause my HR department is not very responsive when it comes to answering calls.

Many Thanks :)

Yes, a bank certification is needed.

Don't know exactly, but sometimes they do background checking; so if you got sampled, then they will call your office.

Many Thanks :)

The fact you are a rejected PR will throw a red flag to CIC. I suspect they will do in depth back ground checks and verify all the information you give them. If I was you, I would pre warn your HR department, so they are aware that they may get a call or visit from the visa officers (yes they do show up in person sometimes)

Like others have posted, make sure you have HUGE proofs of your intent to return and make sure everything can be verified.

true ! make sure you focus a lot on the 'proving ties to home country'.... this will decide your case. your PR rejection proves that you have had intentions to immigrate to Canada. so a TRV application will always be viewed with suspicion.

all the best.
