I red lots of interesting posts in the forum, though none of them covers this point.

I hold PR since 5 years. it was based on refugee protection from a Gulf country where I lived their for entire life before moving to Canada. The decision of my protection was based on the discrimination "worker" residents gets in that country. Workers over there requires approvals from individual sponsors to travel outside country, women little legal rights as to drive, own and mobilize. As I am stateless and have no country to fled to, Canada generously approved my protection.

As of now, I think visiting that country under a "visit" visa to perform religious duties or visit family and friends of visit business forums and exhibition does not object my refugee protection basis, I am not back as a worker. nor I will stay for good.

That gets me to wonder:
> Am I right on this: "visiting" do not contradicts with my asylum basis?
> If I get my Canadian citizenship (so am no more a stateless person and have protection of a respected country) done and became Canadian, do I get to that country as a worker?
> If that country changes social/residency rulings changes as to allows women to drive and sponsorship legal protection gets improved so worker residents are no more needed to check with their sponsors or move, would that make any difference to me visiting or working in that country either as PR or Canadian?

Big thanks to those who knows and replies

You cannot visit while you are a PR. If you do this, you'll face a significant risk of losing your status in Canada. You can only visit once you are a Canadian citizen. That's the short answer.

Answered above.

Visiting the country of persecution is not possible while a PR.

Only possible once you are a citizen of Canada.

Many thanks for your reply. Could you please tell me which section in the IRPR give this allowance to Canadian citizens to visit their country of asylum? Highly appreciate your input

Yes you can visit as a citizen but would expect that you may get pushback from CBSA agents and in general scrutiny. Definitely legal but does lead to people questioning whether you feared for your life in the country and needed protection. Maybe not the PC answer but the reality.
