PR received but questions

Hello,

I have received my passport back from the mail, but the document in it has the same date of issue and expiry as my work permit. I am already living in Canada,So the document says

Date of issue Date of Expiry
19/01/2018 07/06/2018

Category IM-1 IMMIGRANT

No Entries
ONE

What does this mean? What must I now do when it expires? Do I have to apply all over again?

Are you talking about your Confirmation of Permanent Residence? If so then you are NOT a PR yet. You must finish the landing procedure in order to become a Permanent Resident.

There should be a letter attached to your COPR, it has all the details you should know.

oh ok, lol, I thought once I got back the visa that's all and I am a PR...didn't realize a next step ..damn
