PR Re-opened after approval upon landing

Hi Guys,

Can anyone please assist me and advise me about my special case. I had already received by PR visa and landing documents but upon arrival on 30 Jan 2020, I was informed by the passport control officer that there is an issue with my visa and then the IRCC needs to make an update where i was admitted into Canada with an implied status and soon after, I received a letter in my IRCC online portal for the reopening of my application while requesting from IMM5669 for background information. Since then, I have not heard any status back from them and when I tried to call them or contact them via webform, they only advise that the same is under processing from the IRCC and that i will be contacted once they require additional information or any update on my application.

I don't have a big travel history as i stayed in UAE for 6 years before coming here and had submitted the PCC for both my home country and the UAE but the online status says that they are reviewing my eligibility requirements, additional documents and background check is under process for the last 2 months already.

Does anyone has any idea about such cases with advise as to what steps I can do to fasten the processing of my application.

whats your current status in canada if you are not a PR?

Its a implied status and allowed to stay until decision is reached

It's really impossible for any of us to say.

I assume you have ordered your GCMS notes to see the details of your case?

Didnt you ask them what the issue was about? Also this happened at the airport?

Yes i asked them but they simply replied that they IRCC needs to make a correction in your profile but they are not sharing any details as to what is the update required. Even when i called the IRCC agents after the incident, they are just stating that everything is received from our end and not its with the responsible officer and you just need to wait which is already 2 months now.

I have not yet ordered GCMS notes as initially i was informed that the same will be resolved in a months time and the GCMS notes take the similar time but now its taking a longer waiting period. I did ask the passport control officer that what is the issue, he just replied that there are no problems from your end and that the IRCC just needs to update something from their end. Apart from it, not receiving any information from them.
