Currently processing for PNP paper applicants is 18 months

My name is Gagan and I had the email for passport request for the final step of my Pr but that time I was in India so I sent my passport to Canada high commission via vfs global Jalandhar. It’s been almost two months now but it is still showing that my passport is being processed in High commission of Canada in New Delhi and I already called vfs so many times and also e-mailed high commission of Canada in Delhi so many times and I haven’t receive anything back yet and it making me worry so much because I’m going back to Canada on January 18 and for that I need my passport back immediately can someone help me please. What should I do ??

Depending what stream you apply under for PR, processing time is different for all.

Why is processing time different for different streams? barring maybe a few difficult cases I'd wager that most applications could be processed within a similar time frame.

Surely it would be more transparent and fairer to process applications strictly in the order received instead.

I received my ITA and just filed for my pr application.. I'm applying under the human capital priority stream in the oinp. How long is the expected wait time?
