PR - Missing Employer Reference Documents

After being invited through EE, the online PR application requires reference letters from ALL past employers.

Three companies I've worked for no longer exist, I have no idea where my old bosses are, and of course I didn't bring all of my past pay stubs out to Canada when I moved here two years ago.

Does anyone know if there's a way around this, or am I screwed :)?

Thanks!

Well.. There is no easy way of saying this... but you are indeed screwed..
Unless you can provide reference letters from the companies you have worked for... And the immigration officers will verify all the information from your EE profile..
Worst case scenarios are your application will be rejected or you might even be banned from applying for PR for the next 5 years due to fraud...

Thats why its very important to only add information in your EE that you can provide proof for... Otherwise just omit that info

Why on earth u would put info that u can not validate....if you got extra point for those experience, you may be in trouble...try writing explanation letter and try to provide as much as proof u can.,

Keep positive all you can do now is provide a notarized affidavit from your country. CIC accepts legal documents notarized and signed by lawyers.

Yeah that makes sense, I would rather say "good luck convincing the VO"

I work in the film industry and I know your pain. I have 20 years experience, but I won't be able to get letters for the first 6 years because the first 4 companies I worked for no longer exist. So, I'm going to just use the 14 years I can get letters of reference.
Question for you, do you actaully need hard copies of the letters? Companies are sending most of them out as pdfs.

i would say if you have a offer-letter from those companies please submit that as proof and write a brief letter stating that the company no longer exists.

what else can we do for this..

Hey I have been following this thread. I am very confused. So say part time jobs when you were in University, obviously I wont be able to get employer reference letters for that. But your profile asks for all work history. So people who are being honest and putting down all work will be punished severly

2 months experience won't matter.
Unless its a significant amount of experience ( like 1 year or more) where you're planning to claim points for. then that would matter.

Do we need references from ALL companies I worked for last 10 years according to the personal history OR just companies you get points for?
