Hi to all, I'm a newbie here

I have been in Canada for a year now and will soon undergo medical exam for PR application under CEC.

My hepatitis C antibodies test came back as positive a few months back but my viral load testing was undetected. The doctor said I was exposed to the virus at some point but my body cleared it on its own. I'm utterly clueless as to how I got the virus in the first place. I was just tested as part of the pregnancy procedures for my wife

The doctor said there is nothing to worry because I don't have the virus but my big worry is how will it affect my PR application?? I took the antibodies test here in Canada so I'm assuming public health has some sort of registry and I'm in their blacklist

I don't think it's cause for concern if your medical exam for pr shows negative. Wait for more advice though.

I thought the medical exam for PR does not test for hep C?

The doctor says I'm all good and all my results are negative, it's just that my Hep C antibodies will always remain positive. My question is do I need to tell the DMP for my upfront exam?

Does anyone here have a similar experience? Inland application with Hep C history.

Hi, did you still mention about your hep C? Did you get your PR?
