I have a valid US Tourist visa and I received my COPR. Now, I am planning to go to US for a day (Saturday) and then come back via Rainbow bridge on Sunday. Can I do the PR landing on the weekends or it has to be done on Tue, Wed and Thur? I know for sure that if you are doing flagpoling then PR Landing can be done only on Tue, Wed and Thur from 8:00am to 12:00am EST but in my case I am not doing flagpoling. I am going to the US and spending a night before coming back to Canada.

Anything less than an actual holiday outside of Canada is generally viewed as flagpoling. You may very well be refused landing.

Thanks for the reply but when you do flagpoling you dont get Passport Stamped and i4 from USA. In my case I will have both, even then they will say that I did flagpoling, quite surprising.

The key point being you may be refused landing , no way here to predict whether you will be or not and may depend even how busy the crossing is at the time. Even people who have been in the US for days/ weeks or just coming up from the US to complete their landings at the weekend have no guarantees so ultimately just have take a chance see what happens. Worst case you are faced with a grumpy CBSA officer asking you if you read the guidance whilst refusing to process you, best case you have no issues at all .Good luck

You are leaving Canada for the purpose of returning to land. That is still flagpoling.
