Hi everyone,

I will be submitting my EE application after receiving an ITA.

I am currently in Canada, on a tourist visa, working remotely for a British company, as an international consultant. Nevertheless, my permanent address is in France. I have no ties to Canada (no bank account, no canadian insurance, etc). So I'm covered.

After submitting my application, I am worried that I may be invited for a PR interview. If so, can someone please let me know how it works? Do you get to chose a date? Or even a location?

Because I am currently in Canada, I would like to know what the odds are of doing the interview in France. Moreover, I travel a lot for work (in Africa, Asia, etc.) and I'd like to know how flexible they can be with scheduling.

Thank you!

Wondering what makes u think u will be invited for an interview. I spend a lot of time on forum and haven't come across someone who received an interview call.

I know, I haven't seen many posts about it. However, the CIC website mentions it

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/next_steps.asp

"CIC will make a decision on your application based on:

whether you meet the eligibility criteria for the program,
whether you have the funds to support yourself and your family when you arrive in Canada,
the results of your medical exam;
the information on your police certificate; and
any other information we have received.

If we need more information from you, we will let you know. We may also invite you to an interview. "

In rare cases, they could invite for an interview.. I will let someone with more info on interviews answer your question.

Good luck!,

I don't think you need to worry about this too much. Chances are very small that you'll be invited for an interview. I've been on the forum for a long time and i've only seen couple of cases where people were invited for an interview and those were mostly the ones suspected of forged documents, or the ones with a very complicated security/criminality backgrounds.
If you were to get invited (highly unlikely) you'll probably be given about a month notice, and i'm not sure you'll be able to choose the location, but i'm sure IRCC would be flexible if you were to explain that you are travelling etc.
