Hello..
I have a couple of questions, hope someone will be able to help answer these.
I’m in the US, received my COPR valid until September 16. I don't have H1B visa stamped to travel right now, but heard we can travel on i797 by road if we plan to stay less than 30 days.
1. Planning to go by road to Vancouver for landing appointment (although my city is ontario in my COPR), can we have the landing appointMent and return right away? Have any of you done this? I’m asking this because there is a 14 day mandatory quarantine if we plan to stay in Canada and due to recent restrictions in the US h1b visa holders cannot return after June 24.
2. Can we travel on I797 without having a valid visa (heard we can do this) but want to check of any of you had this experience?

thank you so much in advance for looking into my questions.

As fas as I know, there are no in-person landing appointments in the near future at the Service Canada offices, but I guess you could try to do the landing at the POE. Via Vancouver, you should enter through Peace Arch, but there's no guarantee that you will get the landing done.

I know nothing regarding the I797. That's something you need to find out with US immigration.

Any inland CEC applicants with no COPR and a cancelled landing appointment here got a confirmation of PR email from CIC ?
I'm sort of on the same boat. I got the confirmation of PR but my CoPR hasn't arrived yet. I sent the picture with just a copy of the confirmation letter. I thought that this letter was the CoPR, and had no idea. Will repeat the process if I receive the actual CoPR at some point.

When I called the agent last week...she said that they will eventually email COPR. Currently they are focusing on the email confirmation letter and processing. of PR cards right after....the officers themselves apply for the PR card as they land you. Hope this helps!

Hi guys, I have a question regarding the OHIP after you receive the confirmation of permanent residence email.

I already applied for the SIN number online right away when I got the email. The OHIP I currently have is under my post-graduation work permit.
I was wondering how the process is in this case, do I need to apply for a new OHIP or just for a change of status (same as for SIN number).
If anyone has any info about it, it will be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Hello all,

I have received my electronic notes of the immigration office today. The most relevant note says Covid 19 Landing ready no OS Dep.

Hi,
Did you get your COPR? or any update from IRCC?

Hi Guys. I just noticed that I can't log in to my CRA account. I applied for SIN number on June 16th as I received the PR confirmation email but I have not received the new SIN in my mailbox. Has this happened for anyone?
