My PR application is in the final stages which i had filed it under FSW 2014.

I received a email recently from CPC Ottawa office saying that i can get the Visa stamped and i should send them the passport within 30 days to CPC office in Ottawa because i had applied to this program when i was living in US. The problem is now i have moved to India. Did anyone know if someone faced this same situation and will they transfer my file to India?

Or should i apply for a Canadian tourist visa and go to Ottawa directly(i use to have one before but it has now expired)?

Cant u send your passport to ottawa and give your friend's address in US. Once stamping done--can you ask your friends to post it back to India. Or can you ask Ottawa CPC to allow you to get stamping done in Canadian embassy in India because you came to India on a visit?

Tehy can do visa stamping at Dehli. Raise a CSE

Thanks a lot for your replies....as per Indian laws i cannot courier my passport out of India, so sending my passport by mail is not an option.

I've emailed the CPC Ottawa office informing them about the address change when i have moved here and they had acknowledged that too, but when I read few cases of before 2009 in this forum and some people had faced this issue in the past. The CPC office haven't transferred their case and asked them to send their passports to Canada only. But i couldn't find any post on the recent trend post 2009.

What is a CSE request? please keep in mind that i have emailed them about my situation.

They don't transfer cases when the decision is made. They just have counterfoils issued at foreign mission. You've done your part, now wait for CPC to follow up.
