PR Holder - open work permit for spouse

Hi All,

I am currently working in Canada ( PR holder, applied citizenship). I am planning to get married in March 2014 (India). My Fiance is working in USA on H1B.

Want to apply TRvisitor visa first, once she come to Canada on Visitor visa, is there anyway for her to get a Open Work permit?

Not by marrying you alone.

If she comes to Canada and you sponsor her for PR using the inland / within Canada process, then she will qualify to apply for an open work permit once the application has first stage approval. First stage approval is currently taking around 10 months to complete from the day the sponsorship application is submitted.

First we want tpo ally her a TRV and then launch PR application.
1. what are her chances to get TRV from USA if she applies now?
2. Is there any limit to visit canada in a year( because we are planing to shuttle USA to Canada using visitor visa)?
