Hi All,

I am in same boat same refusal reason.

Could you please advise. What should I do. I met one lawyer he asked for $12000.

I am very upset now. I handled my application by my own. the only thing is I got promotion during applied status I updated that information with new offer letter .

please advise. cant trust the lawyer. $12000 is not much. I know I did not provide anything wrong all my information was correct.

yes ofcourse you need to have NOC code and that job need to match your job duties should be mention in your offer letter job duties

So the lawyer representing me for this is saying that we should do a reconsideration for this and we are doing it this week.

Pls what do you think are my chances?

Is there any time frame for submitting reconsideration after receiving the refusal letter.

Hi we are on the same boat. My PR application was refused last November 2019. I called them for reconsideration the next day I found out that I got refused. The agent filled a reconsideration and then after a week CIC said their decision is firm. They didn't even ask anything and they didn't give me a chance to explain about my foreign work experience. Then the agent advise me to gain more work experience, improve my ielts score and create another express entry profile. So basically I am doing all of it over again and hoping this time I will get invited and get PR soon.
Please let me know what you did or anything that will help your situation. I didn't went to a lawyer because I couldn't afford to go to one. Please share your experience and next steps you take. Hoping for the best!

Hey guys,

Does IRCC send a confirmation of submission or any kind of receipt of submission when you submit via a webform? My lawyer submitted a reconsideration yesterday and sent me an email that it has been submitted. Please reply.

I had to re-apply for a study permit and paid the restoration fee as I was out of status for a day. I didnt even know about my canadian points for education that IRCC didnt award me, which my lawyer pointed out that I should have gotten the 15 points cos i schooled here in Canada for two years. Even with the deduction of the 50 points for my foreign experience, I would still have been above the lowest crs point for my round of invitation. So my lawyer submitted the reconsideration yesterday. He also advised me to re-write the ielts asap as there is no guarantee that they will re-open my application as the missing 15 points may have been either my mistake or a glitch in their system (I submitted all my transcripts from my school here in canada and also filled my profile correctly so I am sure its from their end). So I am not allowed to work anymore as my work permit already expired, just preparing for ielts and hoping for the best.

How about you? What steps are you taking now?
