I have submitted all the paperwork that goes in to trying to get PR in Canada. My husband was approved to sponsor me. Now we are just waiting. The form has been in since may. I was randomly going over my files and noticed I accidentally provided wrong information about a job. I listed a job for a time period when it should have said unemployed. (schedule a background/declaration) I must have got confused dealing with all the paper work. I´m so worried now! Will I be denied for accidental false information? Will I go to jail? I´m about to have a full blown panic attack. If I get denied over this I'll never forgive myself. Please help.

:(
thank you

You won't go to jail xx

I would suggest that you just send CIC an email to let them know

How would I word the email? Also will it delay the application process. What email do I send it too. Thanks for the reply. I'm almost in tears. Xo

I don't know what visa office you're going through, so here they all are - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp#l
Click on the office relevant for your country and at the bottom should be a case specific email link

I would literally just tell them that you have realised your dates are incorrect and let them know the correct ones. I can't imagine it would make any difference to them, but it's always better to let them know.

It will all be ok, please don't be sad xxx

Ok, thank you. My main concern is when they research that job they won't find me working there as an employ and ill look like I mislead them.

But you're letting them know your error - if they discovered anything and you didn't tell them then I think you could worry a little - I'm sure they won't check every employer anyway.

Keep smiling x

I got this email today:

REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORT COPIES

Dear _____________:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.

Is this good news?

so do you think i still need to bring up the mistake?

If it were me, I wouldn't bother now, but it's obviously your choice. If they are requesting passport copies then I would assume they are ready to issue
