can any one tell how a religious worker can apply for PR under any catagory including CEC?

i apllied under CEC, hope i wll get it. if i get it will be helpfull for any other person who wants to apply as religious worker.

hey u could aplly under the CEC

and you have two categories in the Noc

1)
Other Religious Occupations
Ministers of Religion (NOC 4154-A)
Ministers of religion conduct religious services, administer the rites of a religious faith or denomination, provide spiritual and moral guidance and perform other functions associated with the practice of a religion. Ministers of religion perform these duties in churches, synagogues, temples or other places of worship. They may also work in other institutions such as schools, hospitals and prisons.

Included job titles: archbishop, bishop, cardinal, chancellor, chaplain, evangelist, granthi, imam, minister, moderator, pastor, priest, rabbi.

Other Religious Occupations (NOC 4217-B)
This unit group includes brothers, nuns, monks, religious education workers and others who provide support to ministers of religion or to a religious community and who perform certain functions associated with the practice of a religion. They may perform these duties in churches, synagogues, temples or other places of worship or in institutions such as schools, hospitals and prisons.

Included job titles: Christian science practitioner, Salvation Army field worker, cantor, deacon, mohel, monk, nun, religious education worker.

That usually means they've done a preliminary check for completeness (no missing documents). So that's good. But it doesn't mean they've checked your employment details, NOC skill level, etc.

I am on legal status and proper work permit .

usually all religious workers getting V1 visa[ visitor] to perform religious activities and some may not have work permit also.

but my case is totally different , i have W1 visa [ worker] and have proper work permit which has been renewed two times after initial one.

i am qualified to apply on both 4154 [ A Level skill ] and 4217 [ B Level skill].

i had my ielts score 5.5 which is very good for B skill and i suspect it is not so good for A skill.

so i chosed 4217. job description is more or less same on both the catogories.

i hope if that is the case i should not have any problem.

i submited all the documents including PCC from india for me, wife and my kid also [both are in india]

fingers crossed and hping for file number in sept or oct...................!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi jsa,

I am interested to know how did you apply for a temporary foreign worker. How many years did it took for you to apply for a temporary
foreign worker submitted in your visa office in India?

My husband is also a pastor here in our country. Did you have an offer of employment before you went to Canada? What I understand is that you are already in Canada for 2 years and now you will apply under CEC.

i was looking for a job and found one . then i had cotract for three years as priest at a hindu temple. they sponsered me for visa so i got it.

it is beeter to find a job and get a proper work permit to work here in canada and be eligible for PR.

is there any time frame for getting PPR after medicals.

i have done my medicals on 9th september.

is there anything other than PPR meantime...........!!!!!1???

i hope it wont take more than two to three months.
