This is what religion does, people start fighting on it, and thats what people who preach religion want, if everyone starts to believe in same god how would these so called religious places earn money, Its true theres a lot of money flowing through these places, but the question is how much of it is used for welfare of the people. Ive never seen any religious place in Canada funding schools, colleges, education for kids, empowerment of women, hospitals, help for people with special needs, etc etc, where does all these multi million dollars go, mostly in building a better looking temple or gurdwara or mosque, and people just keep donating money without thinking what is it getting used for? About the Mr Priest. he definitely has a right to stay in Canada and apply for permanent residence and he sure is an educated person, the problem is not with anyone personal, the issue here is the immigration rules, which only allow skilled people to immigrate and they have to compete with other skilled people from other countries and suddenly we see a priest claiming to get the same status then it makes you think why did u study and work so hard all your life whereas you could just become a priest and immigrate. Someone suggested LMIA, for LMIA an employer has to prove that he advertised the job for atleast 3 months and conducted interviews and they could not find a suitable candidate and hence they want to hire someone from other country and get LMIA approved. I guess this might work for the priest, as Canada does not have enough qualified people to become priests and hence they should let him immigrate.
